In 1984, a group of enthusiasts in Rancho Santa Margarita, California realized the need for onboard data acquisition equipment to support circle track, road racing, and offshore power boat applications. The result was Racepak, a company specializing in GPS-based data systems, unique data loggers, software, gauges, and related equipment all designed, for the sole purpose of gathering data for professionals and hobbyists alike.
